On dual-circuit models (Liebherr and others): that compartment's fan, sensor or defrost system. On single-circuit models: frost blocking the shared airflow.
Frozen fill line, failed inlet valve, or the ice maker unit itself. Sometimes it just needs a proper cleaning — we'll tell you honestly.
Blocked defrost drain backing meltwater into the cabinet, or a cracked/kinked water line to the ice maker.
Frost on the evaporator, a fan hitting ice, dirty condenser, or a compressor working against a failing cooling system.

Clogged drain pump filter (coins and socks live there), kinked drain hose, worn pump, or a lid/door lock fault.
Door gasket (front-loaders), fill hoses, detergent drawer overflow from too much soap, or an internal hose. Find where the water is before you call — it helps.
Unbalanced load first — then suspension rods or drum bearings. A bearing rumble gets worse every week; earlier is cheaper.
Thermal fuse, heating element (electric), igniter (gas), or a tripped breaker pair. The #1 dryer call — usually a one-visit fix.
Restricted exhaust vent in most homes — lint builds up along the duct, not just the filter. LG models show d80/d90/d95 codes for exactly this.
Drum rollers, idler pulley, or belt — wear items on any dryer past its first few years. Cheap parts, awkward access.
Food debris in the filter assembly, a clogged air gap (the little chrome cylinder by your faucet), or a worn drain pump.
Blocked spray arms, water not hot enough, a failed heating element, or the wrong detergent/rinse-aid combo.
Door gasket, a leak in the base pan (many models show an AE/E1 code and stop), or a loose supply connection.
Bake element (electric), igniter (gas — listen for endless clicking), or the temperature sensor lying to the control board.
Food debris in the igniter or burner ports first — clean and dry them. If one burner clicks forever or none light, it's the igniter or spark module.
Door-lock motor or switch stuck after the high-heat cycle. Don't force the door — the latch breaks and the repair doubles.
Dirty filter or blocked outdoor unit first — then refrigerant level, capacitor, or compressor. In an OC summer, don't wait on this one.
Thermostat batteries and filter first; then flame sensor, igniter, or a safety switch doing its job for a reason.
